What I love most about photography is its ability to show the world in a whole new way. When I am taking pictures, I’m looking at things differently.

I’m looking for the beauty.

In faces, in arrangements of things, in nature, in lighting. I’m looking at it with an eye to appreciate, and to show others that as well. I’m looking with intentional awe and wonder.

And my favorite thing to do with the resulting images is to share them. To inspire others to awe as well. My goal in nature photographs is to inspire the world to praise the Creator. May these few images be a blessing to you and a reason to praise Him today.

Psalm 1:3 – He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

1 Chronicles 16:33 – Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the Lord.

Psalm 104:19 – He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.

Isaiah 40:8 – The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.

Matthew 6:26 – Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

James 1:17 – Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

  1. Wow, thank you for sharing! These are lovely! I recently finished reading Notes from the Tilt-A-Whirl by N.D. Wilson, and when you talked about intentionally searching for wonder in the world, I immediately thought of it. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend! 😀
