Hi there! I’m Amanda.
Currently, I live, learn, and serve in a small city outside of Vancouver, Canada, fondly nicknamed “Raincouver” by the locals.
I’m studying linguistics and Bible translation, with the intent of serving alongside the global church to bring God’s Word to every person. God willing, by early 2024 I will move to southern Mexico to fulfill a role as a linguistic analyst and translation advisor.
By nature, I’m curious about people: who are they deep down inside? What burdens their hearts, what brings joy to their faces? What do they consider success? What motivates them to that end and what holds them back?
This blog is a space to share journal-type reflections on how I am learning to see people as God sees them. I am humbled and grateful to have the opportunity to partner with God to reach “the one” for his glory and their good. I hope reading the words shared here would inspire you to give him praise and to consider how you might reach out to the ones he has placed in your path.
